Stanford Posts Top 400 Hurdles Time At SoCal Men's Track and Field Prelims

Pasadena City College men's track and field sprinter Quishawn Stanford raced to first place in the 400-meter hurdles at the Southern California Prelims on May 2 at Bakersfield College's Memorial Stadium. Stanford and teammate Anthony Pequeno both qualified for two events for the SoCal Championships next Saturday, May 9 at Bakersfield.

Morgan Strauss placed second in the 400 meter dash and Quishawn Stanford scored second as well in the 400 hurdles to highlight the Pasadena City College men's track and field team's performance at the South Coast Conference Championships held Saturday at El Camino College.

The Pasadena City College men's track and field team scored 51 points to finish in fifth place out of 12 colleges at the Coast Classic held March 13 at Orange Coast College.

Men's Track and Field's Pequeno Ups State Fastest Mark In 200 At Cerritos Open

Pasadena City College men's track and field sprinter Anthony Pequeno beat his state's fastest time in the 200 meters on Saturday at the Cerritos Open. Pequeno posted a season-best 21.67 seconds to place second overall behind an unattached runner. His previous high this season was 22 flat.

Buoyed by victories in the 100 and 200 meter dashes by sophomore star Anthony Pequeno and another first place in the triple jump by freshman Noah Fry, the Pasadena City College men's track and field team continues to impress after a strong team performance at the El Camino 5-Way Challenge meet held Feb. 21.
