In the final invitational of the season, the Pasadena City College men's track and field team were excited with some season-best performances at Friday's Cerritos Invitational.
The Lancers are preparing for the South Coast Conference Prelims (Tuesday, April 21) and Championships (Saturday, April 25) at El Camino College.
Anthony Pequeno rose to #3 in the state with his winning time in the 200 meters at 21.23 seconds. Pequeno's second in the 200 moved him up to #8 at 48.28.
The 4x400 relay placed second and the 3:22.14 performed by Izaiah Reed, Quishawn Stanford, Morgan Strauss, and Pequeno is now 10th in California.
Stanford scored third in the 110 hurdles with a best time of 15.37, now 11th in the state. His 55.62 for fourth in the 400 hurdles is 14th.
The 4x100 relay scored third but Milo Peoples, Stanford, Eugene Dela Cruz and Pequeno registered a team season-best 41.91 (13th in state).
Peoples was fourth in the long jump at 22-4.5 and he moved up to #16.
Noah Fry took sixth in the triple jump (42-0.75) but his earlier season-long 44-9.5 is 19th.
James Yang placed seventh in the high jump at 5-10.75.
PCC is directed by head coach Innocent Egbunike.
