Ireja Lauderdale set the fastest time in the 100 meters as she led a host of Pasadena City College women's track and field competitiors at the Southern California Prelims meet held May 2 at Bakersfield College's Memorial Stadium.
Behind two jump champions, the Pasadena City College women's track and field team scored 66.5 points, the most in 13 years, and placed fourth at the South Coast Conference Prelims/Championships held April 21 and on Saturday (April 25) at El Camino College.
Kezia Gavlak, Destiny Rayburn, Jariah Martin, and Ireja Lauderdale raced the squad's season-best mark in winning the 4x100 meter relay at 48.49 and Lauderdale also grabbed first place in the 100 to highlight the Pasadena City College women's track and field team's performances at the El Camino Dave Shannon Invitational held March 27.
Five event victories were part of a strong performance for the Pasadena City College women's track and field team as it placed second out of 12 scoring teams at the Coast Classic held March 13 hosted by Orange Coast College.
Kezia Gavlak won both the long jump and triple jump events to highlight the Pasadena City College women's track and field team's peformances at the Bakersfield Battle of the Regions Meet on Feb. 13.
