Behind two jump champions, the Pasadena City College women's track and field team scored 66.5 points, the most in 13 years, and placed fourth at the South Coast Conference Prelims/Championships held April 21 and on Saturday (April 25) at El Camino College.
Five event victories were part of a strong performance for the Pasadena City College women's track and field team as it placed second out of 12 scoring teams at the Coast Classic held March 13 hosted by Orange Coast College.
Pasadena City College women's track and field sprinter Ireja Lauderdale jetted in 12.34 seconds to win the 100 meters event at the Cerritos Open on Saturday. She edged out two Cerritos racers at the finish line and her mark is now second in the state and fastest in the SoCal Region.
