Breanna Negrete, a starting shortstop for two seasons, was selected to the 2025 All-South Coast Conference Softball Second Team as Pasadena City College's lone choice to the elite squad.

The Pasadena City College softball team has had late leads in recent games, but the end result still finished in defeat. After winning two straight v. Rio Hondo College, the Lancers are reeling in a 7-game losing streak.

Genesis Ramirez broke a 5-5 tie with a two-out, RBI double in the sixth inning in helping the Pasadena City College softball team to a 7-5, South Coast Conference win at Rio Hondo College on Monday afternoon.

Mariah Vazquez pitched a complete-game, 7-hitter for her first collegiate victory as the Pasadena City College softball team defeated host Rio Hondo, 5-3, in a South Coast Conference game on Monday.

Softball Offense Comes Alive In Harbor Win

The Pasadena City College softball team found the confines of LA Harbor College and the windy conditions to its liking. The Lancers scored a season high in runs and downed the Seahawks, 12-1, in a game called after 4-1/2 innings due to the 8-run rule.

It started with a bang on a leadoff home run by Breanna Negrete as the Pasadena City College softball team went on to post its first win of the 2025 season, 9-4, at East Los Angeles on Friday afternoon.

Early Lead v. State #1 El Camino, But Softball Takes SCC Defeat

For a few innings, the Pasadena City College softball team showed it could hang with current state #1-ranked El Camino, taking a 2-0 lead on the Warriors going into the third inning. The Lancers though couldn't sustain the early momentum and dropped a 10-2 decision on Thursday afternoon.

Fittingly on Sophomore Day at Robinson Park, several second-year players rose to the occasion for the Pasadena City College softball team in rallying to beat non-conference foe San Bernardino Valley, 5-4, in eight innings on Wednesday. It was the team's final home game of the 2024 season.

Shorststop Breanna Negrete started and capped a 6-run, fifth inning with a pair of singles as the Pasadena City College softball team ran away from Glendale, 11-3, in a non-conference game at Robinson Park on Tuesday.

Close Losses Encouraging, But Softball Still Looking For 1st SCC Win

An A for effort and with a deceiving win-loss record due to so many close games, the Pasadena City College softball team is still in search of its first South Coast Conference victory. The Lancers are 4-21 overall, but are winless in 14 conference games after a 3-1, extra-inning loss to Los Angeles Harbor on Tuesday.
