Women's Volleyball's Reese Roper Headed To College of Idaho

All-South Coast Conference Second Team outside hitter Reese Roper became the sixth player from the 2023 Pasadena City College women's volleyball team to earn a university scholarship. Roper is headed to NAIA College of Idaho.

Roper, who recently picked up a PCC Elizabeth Jensen scholarship for her Lancers 2-year career, will play for a Yotes program that advanced to the National Tournament last year.

Excelling in the classroom with a 3.96 GPA and a product of Colusa High in Sacramento Valley, Roper made the transition from middle blocker as a freshman for the Lancers to OH in her sophomore season.  She averaged 1.95 kills and 2.74 digs as one of the team's best defensive players.

She earned a CCCWVCA State Player of the Week award at the start of the 2023 season. Roper played on two Lancers teams that reached the SoCal Regional Playoffs.

"Our '23 sophomores as a whole were talented and seeing six student-athletes continuing their playing careers and education at the 4-year level is something to be proud of for our program," said PCC head coach Mike Terrill.

Twenty-one PCC players have gone on to play at the next level under Terrill's leadership.
