State Meet Results

Destiny Rayburn closed out an impressive freshman season by capturing two medals, a third place in the triple jump and fourth in the long jump, in leading the Pasadena City College women's track and field performances at the 3C2A State Championships held Saturday at Mt. San Antonio College.

Rayburn, the South Coast Conference long jump champion, leaped 18 feet, six inches following her season best of 18-10.5 set at last week's Southern California Championships (second place). In the tiriple jump, she soared at 37-9.5 after her outstanding 38-11.5 at SoCals (third).

Region 100-meter dash champ Ireja Lauderdale placed fifth at 11.96 seconds. A mistimed baton handoff caused PCC to settle for eighth in the 4x100 relay at 49.94.

The Lancers finished in a tie for 18th as a team with 16 team points.

Kezia Gavlak took ninth in the long jump.
