The Pasadena City College women's soccer team held another host opponent scoreless in topping Moorpark, 2-0, on Tuesday afternoon. The Lancers improved to 2-0 on the season.
In the 35th minute, Emily Martinez sent a pass to Alexandra Lopez, who drove in a 20-yard shot for a 1-0 Lancers lead. In the 64th minute, Maxine Scott received a thread pass from Isabella Lopez and after few touches buried a shot that capped the scoring.
Marycarmen Olvera-Gomez made five saves in playing all 90 minutes in the PCC net.
Isabella Lopez now has two goals in two games.
Pasadena looks forward to its home opener on Tuesday, Sept. 2 when the Lancers face Allan Hancock in a 4 p.m. kickoff at Robinson Stadium.
