In 10 seasons as Pasadena City College badminton head coach, Jennifer Ho created a mini dynasty with back-to-back undefeated 3C2A state team champions in 2017 and 2018, four SoCal champions and eight undefeated South Coast Conference champion teams since 2015. 

Ho has even produced an individual singles and doubles state champ in her tenure. Her 75th career win in 2023 made her PCC's winningest badminton coach and in 2025 she collected Milestone Win #100.

The program reached the 3C2A State Championship match for the third straight year, losing to De Anza in 2025. The Lancers were 10-3, losing all three to the same opponent in North power De Anza. 

In 2024, the SCC champion Lancers had a 12-match win streak stopped in the program's seventh state title match v. City College of San Francisco, 12-7. PCC hosted the 2024 3C2A Team/Invidual Championships at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium. 

In 2023, PCC returned to its usual spot as SCC champions, making it to the state finals match in an eventual defeat v. De Anza. 

All eight of Ho's conference championships were undefeated runs as her all-time SCC record is 83-2. She has directed the Lancers to an impressive seven state championship match appearances (2-5 record) and has a sparkling 101-16 record in charge.

In 2021, the Lancers saw a 51-match conference win streak come to an end that dated back to 2015. PCC finished in second place and had its lowest victory total in Ho's tenure with a 6-4 record.

Ho, as well as all PCC coaches, had the entire 2021 sports season cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, the pandemic stopped the season after PCC had won three matches against no losses. 

Ho became just the second head coach in PCC women's sports history (dating back to 1977 when women athletics were recognized officially by the state) to direct a state team champion, the other Joe Peron and his 2009 women's basketball team. Her teams played in four consecutive state championship matches from 2016-2019, all against NorCal champion Fresno City College (split the four). In 2020, Ho's Lancers had a 3-0 mark before the pandemic cancelled the rest of the season. 

In 2019, Ho guided the Lancers to a 9-3 overall record and an exciting win in the SoCal championship match, 12-9, over San Diego City College. The Lancers trailed 9-8 going into the final doubles round and needing both to win. They did just that as Pasadena's No. 1 and No. 2 doubles pairs each won in three sets to secure the regional crown and their fourth straight state final berth. PCC lost to Fresno, 12-5, in the final. She guided sophomore Xiaoming Yao to reach the CCCAA State Individual Singles final and settled for state runner-up. Ho's 49-match regular season win streak (back to 2015) and a superb 29-match overall win streak (since 2016) were stopped early in the season in a non-conference loss to De Anza. It was Yao and teammate Jessica Lee who scored the winning match points for the SoCal title.

In 2018, PCC dominated with an undefeated 13-0 record and rolled to victories in the SoCal title match, 15-6 over Irvine Valley at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium, then 16-5 over Fresno in the CCCAA state final at San Diego City College. It was the second straight year that the Lancers clinched the state crown by the end of the third round of play and prior to the fourth round/second doubles session. PCC's #1 doubles team of Natalie Ong and Amy Huang finished as state individual doubles runner-up.

The '17 Lancers defeated host Grossmont, 11-10, in the SoCal finals, and advanced to the state tournament at Mission College in Santa Clara. For the second straight year, PCC matched up against Fresno City College, but this time the Lancers grabbed the lead in singles and carried it all the way to the finish, 11-10, to capture the state title.

Ho coached All-Americans in Sarah Thaw, the state individual singles runner-up, and the doubles team of Ong and Huang, who advanced to the state semifinals. Ong-Huang's late doubles win at Grossmont produced the game-winning points in the SoCal championship.

Ho is just the fourth coach to direct the school's badminton program since it became an intercollegiate sport in 2000. It is Ho's first head coaching venture. 

In 2016, the Lancers (12-1) had a perfect season end in a nail-biting, 11-10 loss to Fresno in the state finals match played at PCC's HP Gym. Ho coached just the Lancers' second-ever state individual singles champion in Rebecca Tzou. Tzou was also instrumental in helping PCC defeat Irvine Valley, 12-9, for the SoCal title.

In 2015, Ho directed a Lancers team that finished 13-1 overall. After a tough 11-10 defeat against eventual state champion San Diego City College in the SoCal title match, the Lancers made some history with their first state individual doubles crown in the duo of Tzou and Sandra Maw. Tzou also earned the silver medal in reaching the singles championship final.

Maw in 2016, and '15 player Yinghong Lin each won the Elizabeth Jensen scholarship for high women's GPA among all PCC female athletes. 

Born in Vietnam, the Chinese-raised Ho played competitive badminton as a young teen before coming to the U.S. 

Active in sports ever since, she's officiated high school volleyball, basketball and softball the past 18 years. In 2011, she joined the PCC athletics family first as an clerk and helped handle athletic eligibility for Lancers sports teams in 2013-14. She currently is an adjunct faculty member in Kinesiology.

Prior to coming to PCC, Ho served as a physical education teacher at St. Joseph Elementary School in Pomona for 22 years. Ho is proficient in four languages. She earned a B.A. degree in physical education at Cal State Los Angeles and later accomplished her master's in athletic administration at Concordia University.
