Badminton Completes 12-0 Regular Season, To Face San Francisco In 3C2A State Final

The Pasadena City College women's badminton team capped a perfect 12-0 regular season by defeating San Diego Mesa, 15-6, on Wednesday at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium. The Lancers also completed their seventh undefeated South Coast Conference title season under head coach Jen Ho at 10-0.

PCC Women's Badminton Clinches 17th South Coast Conference Title

Since it was introduced as a California Community College sport in 2000, women's badminton has been a standard in Pasadena City College Athletics. On Friday, the Lancers clinched the program's 17th South Coast Conference title in a 19-2 victory at East Los Angeles.

Pasadena City College women's badminton head coach Jen Ho directed her milestone 100th match on Tuesday and not surprisingly it was yet another victory on her remarkable career. The Lancers knocked off De Anza, 17-4, to remain perfect thus far in 2024 at 9-0.

Path To South Coast Badminton Title Brighter After Pair of Wins In San Diego

The undefeated Pasadena City College women's badminton team could very well be on its way to the program's 17th South Coast Conference title after recording a 15-6 win over its closest rival San Diego Mesa, then defeating San Diego City College, 13-8, in road matches last week.

Women's Badminton Birdies Pair Of Shutouts

South Coast Conference opponents are finding it hard to gain points v. the formidable Pasadena City College women's badminton team. The Lancers scored 21-0 blankings at Compton on Wednesday, then v. East Los Angeles at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium on Thursday.

Badminton Breaks Hex v. De Anza, Good Omen For State?

The last time the Pasadena City College women's badminton team beat its friendly rival from the North--De Anza College--was in April of 2018, which marked the Lancers last state team title in the sport. The Lancers ended a 7-match losing streak in the head-to-head series with the Mountain Lions with a 15-6 win in Cupertino on Friday night.

Roster Depth Fuels Women's Badminton As 2024 Season Underway

After last year's state runner-up finish, Pasadena City College women's badminton head coach Jen Ho knew she would need to build on a roster to possibly push the Lancers to one more win when it counts. PCC started its quest for a state title on Wednesday, defeating short-handed San Diego City College, 18-3, at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.
