Finally a State Team Crown For Lancers Badminton

(SANTA CLARA, Calif.)--After 18 years that the sport has been offered, the Pasadena City College women's badminton team finally captured its first CCCAA State Championship, defeating Fresno City College, 11-10, in the title match Thursday at Mission College. The score was far from indicative of how things went as the Lancers clinched the match at 11-5 during the third round of play.

Women's Badminton At Grossmont In SoCal Title Match May 3

The undefeated, South Coast Conference champion Pasadena City College women's badminton team travel to play Grossmont, the undefeated Pacific Coast Athletic Conference champs, in the Southern California championship match on Wednesday, May 3. The team final begins at 3 p.m.

Badminton 9-0 With Win Over De Anza

The Pasadena City College women's badminton team knows its a frontrunner in a quest for the program's first state team championship. The Lancers reaffirmed their standing by defeating North region De Anza for the second time this season, 19-2, Monday at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Cakewalks For Badminton In Conference Play

The Pasadena City College women's badminton team is having its easiest trip ever to a South Coast Conference title. With a 6-0 perfect record through two rounds of SCC play, the Lancers have outscored their opponents by the lopsided count of 121-5.

Badminton Dominating SCC

The Pasadena City College women's badminton team remained perfect at 5-0 this season with a 19-2 road victory over East Los Angeles in a South Coast Conference match Mar. 17. The Lancers extended their conference win streak to 25 matches, all under head coach Jen Ho, and are 4-0 to top the SCC thus far in 2017.

North Trip Shows Women's Badminton State Contender

The Pasadena City College women's badminton team breezed over host De Anza College, 18-3, in a non-conference match Mar. 10 and then followed that with a bevy of individual wins at the Coast Conference round robin individual tournament Mar. 11 also held at De Anza in Northern California.

SCC Win Streak At 24 For Badminton

In her third season as head coach of the Pasadena City College women's badminton team, Jen Ho has never lost a South Coast Conference match. And at 24 consecutive wins and a 3-0 record thus far this year, it doesn't appear she will anytime soon.

Women's Badminton Keeps SCC Win Streak Going In 2017

The Pasadena City College women's badminton team opened the 2017 season by stretching its South Coast Conference winning streak to 22 matches, all under third-year head coach Jen Ho. The Lancers shut out visiting El Camino College-Compton Center, 21-0, Friday at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.
