Slek Qualifies For State Meet As Men's Cross Country 22nd At SoCal Championships

Maxime Slek's year will continue after posting the Lancers fastest time but the Pasadena City College men's cross country team season comes to a close with a 22nd place finish out of 27 schools participating at the Southern California Championships held Nov. 7 at San Diego's National Training Center course.

Slek placed 76th overall as part of a 184-man field with a time of 22 minutes, 9.68 seconds over the 4-mile course. 

Other Lancers scoring runners were Benicio Haro (130th, 23:26.5), Danny Camacho (135th, 23:31.31), Teddie Wen (138th, 23:39.54), and Edgar Valenzuela (144th, 23:54). Also racing for PCC were Dylan La Marsna (145th, 24:06.92) and John Sanchez-Lopez (157th, 26:10).

The sophomore Slek will run as an individual at the 3C2A State Championships at Fresno's Woodward Park on Saturday, Nov. 22.
