Julius Ray, a defensive lineman on the 2023 and 2024 Pasadena City College football teams, was the only football student-athlete in the state among the elite 22-person, 2024-25 3C2A Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll, announced on Monday.

Ray earned a distinguished Elizabeth Jensen transfer scholarship from PCC Athletics last May. He recorded 23.5 sacks in his two seasons as a defensive end. He was twice selected All-SCFA First Team and was All-State as a sophomore.

Ray received a playing scholarship and finished his junior season in 2025 at NCAA FCS-Division I UC Davis. 

Ray will be recognized for his excellence in academics, athletics, and citizenship from the 2024-25 academic year during the Scholar-Athlete Luncheon as part of the 3C2A Convention at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank on Wednesday, April 1.
