Football Finishes On Good Note, 15-14, Over SBCC

The final record will read for posterity 4-6 overall and 2-3 in the SCFA American Pacific League. Yet, the Pasadena City College football team was very close to being an undefeated division champion and headed to a probable postseason bowl game. Instead, the Lancers settled for a nice finish to the 2018 season, rallying from 14-0 down to beat host Santa Barbara City College, 15-14, Saturday afternoon.

The Pasadena City College football team let leads of 23-6 and 43-30 slip away Saturday night as host Pierce College mounted a comeback in the final eight minutes to down the Lancers in a SCFA American Pacific League shootout, 44-43.

Football Nearly Upsets Hancock, Loses In OT, 27-21

The Pasadena City College football team led practically everything Saturday in its Homecoming game and SCFA American Pacific League opener against Allan Hancock. The Lancers held a commanding 14-0 lead at halftime and were up 21-14 late in the fourth quarter. PCC, the state leader in ball control offense, controlled the ball for nearly 3/4th of regulation time, surprisingly outgained the Bulldogs' state-leading rushing attack, 209-189 in yards, led in first downs, 25-15, and total offense, 396-323.

Saddleback Goes National In 2nd Half, Football Falls, 50-21

For the opening 34 minutes Saturday night, the SCFA American Division's Pasadena City College football team more than held its own against National Division host Saddleback College. The Lancers briefly took a 14-10 lead in the first half and trailed just 23-21 less than five minutes into the second half.

A high-energy offense has brought genuine excitement to Pasadena City College football team in the young 2018 season. Second-year head coach Steven Mojarro has his Lancers playing on all cylinders especially after Saturday's 41-14, SCFA non-league triumph at next door neighbor Glendale College. PCC is 2-0, the program's best start in eight years.

For most of the 60 minutes Saturday night, College of the Desert quarterback Noah Shoeman riddled the Pasadena City College football team's defense with big-play passes, short and long as he passed for 537 yards and five touchdowns. Local Roster Emphasized For 2018 PCC Football

The first thing that stands out with the 2018 Pasadena City College football team is the number of local talent that fills the team's 99-player roster. There are 43 players from surrounding area high schools, including 10 from Muir High and five more from Pasadena High. An additional 24 are from the Los Angeles city area.
