Aquatics Programs Postponed for the 2026-27 Season Ahead of Renovation

PASADENA, CA — Pasadena City College Athletics has announced a pause to the aquatics programs ahead of renovation to the campus pool facility.

Important message regarding the 2026-27 season:

Dr. Timi Brown, Dean of Kinesiology, Health & Athletics announced the news, "Pasadena City College remains deeply committed to providing meaningful opportunities for student-athletes in its aquatics programs and ensuring their long-term success both in and out of the pool. As the college begins a comprehensive renovation of the campus pool facility, PCC will temporarily postpone intercollegiate aquatics competition during the 2026–27 academic year."

"While this decision was made with careful consideration, it reflects a student-centered approach focused on creating the best possible environment for current and future Lancer student-athletes. The pool renovation will result in a modernized facility that better supports training, competition, academic success, and overall student-athlete well-being."

"This temporary pause will also provide an opportunity for the college to thoughtfully evaluate and strengthen its aquatics programs, with a focus on increased opportunities, enhancing the student-athlete experience, expanding recruiting efforts, and developing a sustainable foundation for future success. PCC remains dedicated to the growth of aquatics and looks forward to welcoming student-athletes back to a revitalized facility and a strengthened program that will serve the needs of Lancer students for years to come."
