Delaney Blied Earns CCCWVCA State Player of the Week #3 Recognition

Freshman middle blocker Delaney Blied was named with two others as the CCCWVCA State Players of the Week #3 as the Pasadena City College women's volleyball talent had tremendous performances in three Lancers contests last week.

The 6-foot-1 Blied, from La Habra High, helped Pasadena win two matches at the PCC Quad as she totaled 28 kills, hitting an efficient .591 in three contests. She added seven blocks. Blied scored double digit in kills twice, 10 as PCC ended Santa Monica's 8-match win streak, then 11 v. San Bernardino Valley in just 14 swings.

Blied's award comes after PCC learned it has risen to #9 in the State Top 25 Rankings.

The Lancers host #13 Santa Barbara City College on Wednesday, Sept. 10 in a 5 p.m. non-conference match at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.
