The things that were great and not so great about the Pasadena City College women's volleyball team showed up in its Southern California Regional Playoff Round 1 match on Friday night. #13 seed and host Saddleback downed the Lancers in four sets, 28-26, 25-22, 22-25, 25-23, to eliminate #20 PCC.

The Pasadena City College women's volleyball team clinched the program's first conference title in three years and fourth under head coach Mike Terrill as the Lancers celebrated Sophomore Night with a regular season-ending victory over Los Angeles City, 25-8, 25-20, 25-5, on Friday night.

Pasadena CIty College women's volleyball head coach Mike Terrill knew his Lancers were overdue to show a state-ranked opponent its true potential. Rated #20 in the State Top 25, PCC couldn't have picked a better night to click than Wednesday when it knocked off #14 Mt. San Antonio in five thrilling sets, 25-18, 22-25, 25-12, 22-25, 15-7 at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Women's Volleyball Has Chance To Tie For SCC North Title

The state #21-ranked Pasadena City College women's volleyball team knows the stakes for this Wednesday's match when it hosts #14-rated Mt. San Antono College. The Lancers can likely gain a share of the South Coast Conference North Division title with a victory. A loss and Mt. SAC will go on to win the championship outright.

Never before in Pasadena City College women's volleyball history had two Lancers each reached 20 kills in the same match. That is until Friday night when Biko Hollie hammered 24 kills and Chayse Hoon powered 20 as the Lancers outlasted host El Camino in five sets, 25-21, 25-14, 24-26, 25-27, 15-6.
