Rodriguez Named All-SCC; Softball Season Ends

Leiana Rodriguez, a sophomore transfer, was chosen to the 2024 All-South Coast Conference Second Team on Friday as the Pasadena City College softball season came to an end this past week.

Sophomores Save Their Day In Softball's Home Finale Win

Fittingly on Sophomore Day at Robinson Park, several second-year players rose to the occasion for the Pasadena City College softball team in rallying to beat non-conference foe San Bernardino Valley, 5-4, in eight innings on Wednesday. It was the team's final home game of the 2024 season.

Softball Bats Ignite For 1st Conference Win

The Pasadena City College softball team earned its first South Coast Conference victory for first-year head coach Audriana Gutierrez in routing East Los Angeles, 12-4, in five innings at Robinson Park on Friday.

Six-Run Fifth Lifts Softball Past Glendale

Shorststop Breanna Negrete started and capped a 6-run, fifth inning with a pair of singles as the Pasadena City College softball team ran away from Glendale, 11-3, in a non-conference game at Robinson Park on Tuesday.

Close Losses Encouraging, But Softball Still Looking For 1st SCC Win

An A for effort and with a deceiving win-loss record due to so many close games, the Pasadena City College softball team is still in search of its first South Coast Conference victory. The Lancers are 4-21 overall, but are winless in 14 conference games after a 3-1, extra-inning loss to Los Angeles Harbor on Tuesday.

Softball Returns To Win Column In Big Way, Rocks State #17 Citrus, 8-2

The Pasadena City College softball team stopped a 14-game losing streak and did it with bells and whistles. The Lancers shocked state #17-ranked Citrus, 8-2, on the road in a non-conference game on Monday.

Softball Playing Hard In Losing Streak

The Pasadena City College softball team is in a rebuilding season under first-year head coach Audriana Gutierrez. While the Lancers have found wins hard to come by, PCC continues to battle opponents in and out of the South Coast Conference.

Retired softball head coach Sandi Iverson, a member of the Pasadena City College Sports Hall of Fame, passed away on Monday due to complications from cancer.

The Pasadena City College softball team knew South Coast Conference play would be a difficult grind and it's showing in a tough 0-5 start and a current 6-game losing streak overall.

Lancers Softball Gives State #11 El Camino Battle In SCC-Opening Defeat

With the shocking news that Compton College upset state #6 Mt. San Antonio in their South Coast Conference opener, the Pasadena City College softball team had similar thoughts in taking a few leads v. #11-rated El Camino. The Warriors though rallied twice to beat the Lancers, 10-9, on Thursday in the their SCC opener at Robinson Park.

After last year's home run show put on by South Coast Conference Co-Player of the Year Jaimie Harris, now graduated, the 2024 Pasadena City College softball team figured filling the power void would be difficult. Enter sophomore transfer first baseman Monica Gutierrez, who is already paying dividends with her long drives.

Dramatic First PCC Softball Coaching Win For Gutierrez

One thing for sure about first-year, Pasadena CIty College softball head coach Audriana Gutierrez. She'll always remember her first HC victory as her Lancers rallied from 6-1 down after five innings and won 7-6 at Antelope Valley College thanks to a grand slam home run by Monica Gutierrez with the team down to its final out in the top of the seventh.

Rebuild Begins For PCC Softball Program

A new coach and a nearly brand new roster takes fold in 2024 for the Pasadena City College softball program. PCC first-year head coach Audrianna Gutierrez knows that wins may be harder to come by after she served last year as an associate head coach for a PCC team that won 24 games and nearly upset eventual state champion Cypress in a courageous SoCal Playoff series.

Kiley Kraft, an All-South Coast Conference Second Team pitcher this past season for the Pasadena City College softball team, has decided to attend and continue her playing career at NCAA Division III Whittier College.
