The Pasadena City College men's basketball 2025-26 season came to a close on Friday in a 95-87 loss at Rio Hondo. While the Lancers streak of making the postseason ends at three years, PCC was able to land sophomore point guard Darrius Freeman on to the All-South Coast Conference North Division First Team.
The Lancers (11-17 overall) placed tied for fifth in the SCC North (2-8) and besides Freeman, sophomore forward Cooper Creamer earned a conference honorable mention.
Freeman averaged a team-best 13.5 points while leading the entire 12-team SCC in assists at 5.9 per contest. That means a Lancer has led the conference in assists for four straight seasons as he joined Jalen Vazquez (2023-24, 2024-25) and Jayden Winfrey (2022-23) as SCC leaders in helpers.
Freeman, a 2-year starter who played wing as a freshman, finishes with 621 career points, 55th on the PCC All-Time Scoring List.
Creamer, also a 2-year starter, finished with 415 points and 309 career rebounds. This season, he averaged 7.6 points and 6.7 rebounds.
Closing their community college careers along with Freeman and Creamer were forward Donovan Ford, who averaged 10.3 points and 8.7 boards, guard Brandin Jackson, 9.2 points average, and wing Julian Thompkins (7.7 ppg).
PCC was directed this past season by interim head coach Spenser Nunes. The Lancers biggest wins were defeating SoCal 10th playoff seed San Bernardino Valley in team's season opener and over LA Southwest, a team that was ranked in State Top 30 for most of the season.
