Chaffey Controls Post To Beat Men's Cagers

One of the Pasadena City College men's basketball teams strengths has been the ability to outplay opponents in in the post with a swarming defense and hard-nosed rebounding. On Wednesday, Chaffey's 6-foot-8 center Manu Oulai proved a little too much for the Lancers, scoring 24 points and grabbing 14 rebounds to send the Lancers to a 78-69 loss at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Underdog Men's Cagers Roll Over State #12 Trade Tech

Until this week, the California Community Colleges feel-good story was the emergence of Los Angeles Trade Tech, a program that had struggled in recent years but had won 16 of its last 17 games and rose to No. 12 in the state men's basketball rankings. Meanwhile, unranked Pasadena City College has flown under the radar despite a recent upset over No. 10 Cerritos and Friday's near miss in a 1-point overtime loss to No. 5 East Los Angeles.
