Jerome Harrison, the only Pasadena City College running back to rush for consecutive 1,000-plus yards seasons, is a 2026 selection to the California Community College Football Coaches Association (CCCFCA) Hall of Fame. Harrison will honored on Saturday in a 11:30 a.m. ceremony at the Elks Lodge in Visalia.

Harrison is second on the PCC all-time career rushing list with 2,092 yards. He was twice named All-Mission Conference and he was a JC All-American honorable mention in 2003. He ran for 255 yards in a game v. Santa Ana, the seventh most in school history. In his freshman season of 2002, he helped PCC make it to the Potato Bowl as the Lancers finished with a 9-2 record under then head coach Tom Maher.

At the university level, he led the nation and NCAA Division I in rushing with 1,900 yards at Washington State University in his senior season. He was named a consensus NCAA All-American in 2005.

Harrison was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. A six-year veteran back in the NFL, he recorded the third highest rushing yards game total in league history with 286 yards in a Dec. 20, 2009 contest for the Browns v. Kansas City. The peformance shattered the franchise's 52-year-old record set by the legendary Jim Brown and fell just 10 yards shy of the NFL record of 296 set by Minnesota Viking Adrian Petersen.

The effects of a brain tumor ended his career prematurely in 2011, but Harrison recovered from that health crisis. Also that year, Harrison was inducted into the PCC Sports Hall of Fame.

Harrison became just the second PCC player ever named to the CCCFCA Hall, joining 20th century immortal Jackie Robinson, who was part of the inaugural class in 1984.

He is part of a 10-man, 2026 class inducted into the CCCFCA HOF.

Harrison now resides with his family in North Carolina.
