PCC Football Nabs 17th Ranking On Final State Top 25 Poll, Triplett Named All-State

The return to the upper National Division garnered two more successful achievements for the 2025 Pasadena City College football team. The Lancers moved up six spots and finished as the No. 17-ranked team in the final CCCFCA State Coaches Top 25 Poll as Noah Triplett was honored on the All-State Team at the all-purpose position.

The Lancers finished the season at 6-5, winning the Golden State Bowl over #21 Citrus and they showed their worth with close, 7-point losses to #2/state finalist Golden West and #T3 Saddleback, and just a 1-point defeat v. #9 Cerritos. PCC won their final three games of the year including a 35-0 blanking over East Los Angeles.

PCC was 10th among all SoCal colleges after winning the lower American Division championship at 11-0 last year and moved up to play the top teams this year.

Triplett, the MVP of the Golden State Bowl victory, led the nation in all-purpose yardage for players who had yards in all four categories--rushing, receiving, kick returns and punt returns--as he finished with 1,590 yards in 11 games.

He led the Lancers in rushing (491) and total receptions (39). Triplett was explosive as a kick returner as he totaled 838 yards, averaging 33.5 yards per return. He ran back three kickoffs for touchdowns, including a long of 94. He also had two other long TD returns called back due to Lancers special teams penalties.

PCC Director of Football Operations/Head Coach Robert Tucker has an impressive 70-17 record as a community college HC. At PCC, he turned the program around with a 40-15 record in just five seasons in charge of the Lancers including back-to-back bowl titles. That last happened under PCC Hall of Fame HC Harvey Hyde in 1979-1980.
