The Pasadena City College baseball team closed out its second straight, 3-game, South Coast Conference series, downing host Rio Hondo, 11-2, on Saturday afternoon. PCC has won six in a row, and upped its overall record to 21-15.

The Lancers are 14-7 in SCC play and tied with Cerritos for third place in conference. It was the ninth time this season that Pasadena reach 10 runs or more, all victories.

Jonathan Bracamonte stayed perfect on the mound at 4-0 by hurling eight innings, allowing eight hits, two runs, walking nobody and striking out three.

Shortstop Omar Cisneros led six Lancers with multiple-hit performances by batting 3-for-3, a double, a walk, a sacrifice fly and two RBI. Designated hitter Joaquin Salcedo drove in two and was 2-for-4, scoring three times while first baseman Joey Ramos also crossed the plate for three runs, went 2-for-3 and stole three bases. PCC had just 12 steals all year coming into the game and now Ramos has a team-high six swipes.

Salcedo continues his RBI streak with now 17 during the win streak, 14 in the last four games, and his 34 leads the squad.

Third baseman Chris Torres was 2-for-5 with a double and a triple. He still leads all Lancers and is fourth in the SCC with a .490 on-base percentage.

Second baseman Logan Parker drove in two and batted 2-for-5 while rightfielder Luke Bauer hit 2-for-4 and raised his team-leading average to .345.

PCC is shooting for an eighth straight trip to the Southern California Regional Playoffs, but will have to face first-place El Camino in its final 3-game, South Coast series next week. Still, the Lancers are in a strong position to be a top 24 seed.
