Pasadena City College baseball alumnus and righthanded pitcher Jakob Guardado, the South Coast Conference MVP in 2023, signed a free agent contract as an undrafted rookie with the Los Angeles Angels today.

Great Playoffs Start, But Baseball Falls In 3 Games v. Palomar

After opening the Southern California Regional Playoffs with a stunning 6-4 win over host #3 seed Palomar on Friday, the underdog #22 Pasadena City College baseball team hoped to advance with one more triumph. It was not to be as the Comets responded with 7-4 and 12-7 victories on Saturday, eliminating the Lancers to end their 2025 season.

Bryan Richman, the Lancers lone All-South Coast Conference First Team selection, leads the #22 seed Pasadena City College baseball into the program's seventh straight postseason as it faces #3 Palomar in a Southern California Regional, Round 1, best-of-3 series May 2-3.

It appears the Pasadena City College baseball team has made it to the playoffs for the seventh straight season after defeating host East Los Angeles, 9-3, on Friday in the South Coast Conference and regular season finale.

Baseball's Bats Quieted In Back-to-Back Losses to El Camino

Much of the 2025 season for the Pasadena City College baseball team has been highlighted by the team's potent offense. The state's #6 team in batting average and one averaging more than 10 runs a game going into the series was limited to eight total runs and just 17 hits in losing the final two games of the Lancers' 3-game set v. state #22-ranked El Camino.

Lancers Nine Upend State #22 El Camino, 12-7

The Pasadena City College baseball team knows how important this week's 3-game series v. newly ranked state #22 El Camino is to the program's postseason hopes. The Lancers moved past the Warriors into fourth place in the South Coast Conference with Tuesday's 12-7 victory at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Field.

The Pasadena City College baseball team avoided a South Coast Conference series sweep against Long Beach CC by scoring two runs in the ninth inning to defeat the host Vikings, 7-6, on Saturday.

Pat McGee Wins Milestone 200th As PCC Baseball Coach

Pasadena City College baseball head coach Pat McGee achieved his milestone 200th career victory as the Lancers split two non-conference games at Merced on March 27-28. The Lancers blanked the Blue Devils, 8-0, on Thursday to open the 2-game series.

Raider Tello and Nate Garkow, both former Pasadena City College baseball players under head coach Pat McGee, each made their debuts in Major League Baseball with successful appearances on back-to-back days in Spring Training games on Sunday and Monday.

New Baseball Runs Record Under Coach McGee--27 To Complete Compton Series Sweep

The Pasadena City College baseball team scored the most runs by a Lancers team this century and most ever under head coach Pat McGee in a 27-4 victory at Compton on Monday. The previous McGee-coached high was 24 last year in a win over Chaffey.

Baseball Takes Down Another State-Ranked Orange Empire Team

In another huge victory in RPI for the Lancers, the Pasadena City College baseball team outslugged state #5 RIverside CIty, 12-10, in a non-conference game on Friday at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Field.

Unranked Baseball Knocks Off State #10 Golden West

The Pasadena City College baseball team broke a 5-5 tie with three runs in the eighth inning to defeat state #10-ranked Golden West, 8-6, in a non-conference game Wednesday at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Field.

Walk-Off Win In 10th Gives Baseball Series Edge Over Compton

Tyler Garcia proved clutch once again on Saturday as he hit a walk-off, RBI single in the 10th inning to lift the Pasadena City College baseball team over visiting Compton, 4-3. The Lancers win the South Coast Conference series with two victories although the finale won't be played until Monday, March 24 at Compton due to the wet weather.
