After opening the Southern California Regional Playoffs with a stunning 6-4 win over host #3 seed Palomar on Friday, the underdog #22 Pasadena City College baseball team hoped to advance with one more triumph. It was not to be as the Comets responded with 7-4 and 12-7 victories on Saturday, eliminating the Lancers to end their 2025 season.

Baseball's Bats Quieted In Back-to-Back Losses to El Camino

Much of the 2025 season for the Pasadena City College baseball team has been highlighted by the team's potent offense. The state's #6 team in batting average and one averaging more than 10 runs a game going into the series was limited to eight total runs and just 17 hits in losing the final two games of the Lancers' 3-game set v. state #22-ranked El Camino.

Pasadena City College baseball head coach Pat McGee achieved his milestone 200th career victory as the Lancers split two non-conference games at Merced on March 27-28. The Lancers blanked the Blue Devils, 8-0, on Thursday to open the 2-game series.

The Pasadena City College baseball team scored the most runs by a Lancers team this century and most ever under head coach Pat McGee in a 27-4 victory at Compton on Monday. The previous McGee-coached high was 24 last year in a win over Chaffey.

In another huge victory in RPI for the Lancers, the Pasadena City College baseball team outslugged state #5 RIverside CIty, 12-10, in a non-conference game on Friday at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Field.

The Pasadena City College baseball team broke a 5-5 tie with three runs in the eighth inning to defeat state #10-ranked Golden West, 8-6, in a non-conference game Wednesday at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Field.

Walk-Off Win In 10th Gives Baseball Series Edge Over Compton

Tyler Garcia proved clutch once again on Saturday as he hit a walk-off, RBI single in the 10th inning to lift the Pasadena City College baseball team over visiting Compton, 4-3. The Lancers win the South Coast Conference series with two victories although the finale won't be played until Monday, March 24 at Compton due to the wet weather.

Freshman rightfielder Devon Eskridge unleashed some powerful swings as he batted 5-for-6 with a home run, a double and six RBI in helping the Pasadena City College baseball team post a 16-2 rout over Compton. The South Coast Conference game was played at PCC's home diamond at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Field.

The Pasadena City College baseball team ran into a buzzsaw this week in facing state #4-ranked Cerritos College and the Falcons used superb pitching to sweep the Lancers in the 3-game series. On Saturday, despite a sterling performance by pitcher Connor Campbell, he was outdueled by Cerritos lefty ace Derek Valdez, 6-0, at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Field.

Power Show Punctuates Baseball's Series Sweep Of Harbor; Garcia Homers In 4th Straight

The Pasadena City College baseball team continued an exhibition in slugging on Saturday as the Lancers bombed four home runs for the second consecutive game, two by the red-hot Tyler Garcia, in a 13-6 win at LA Harbor. PCC closed out the 3-game series sweep over the Seahawks.

The return to its home diamond at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Memorial Field turned into a power show for the Pasadena City College baseball team on Thursday. Tyler Garcia slugged a home run for the third consecutive game as he was one of four Lancers to drive round-trippers in the team's 20-3 romp over LA Harbor.

For the second time in 12 games this season, the Pasadena City College baseball team scored 22 runs in totaling 25 hits to rout host Los Angeles Harbor, 22-3, in the opening game of its South Coast Conference, 3-game series v. the Seahawks on Tuesday.

Baseball Takes All Road Rio Hondo Series

Shortstop Bryan Richman put on a hitting and fielding clinic on Saturday as the Pasadena City College baseball team won its opening South Coast Conference series v. Rio Hondo, two games-to-one. The Lancers took the rubber match in the finale, 11-8, as all three contests were played at the Roadrunners' on-campus Whittier home diamond.

Baseball Opens South Coast Play With Blanking Of Rio Hondo

Since head coach Pat McGee took over the program a decade ago, the Pasadena City College baseball team has found success, especially in South Coast Conference play. This is after many years of being a conference doormat between the 1980s and the first part of this century. The Lancers moved to 106-84, a .558 winning percentage in SCC contests under McGee's watch with Tuesday's 2025 South Coast-opening shut out at Rio Hondo, 6-0.

Ninth Inning Rally Results In Baseball's Extra-Inning Win

Down to their final two outs, the Pasadena City College baseball team rallied for two runs to tie it and then got a walk-off, bases loaded single by Adrian Roman in the 11th inning for a 5-4 victory over LA Valley in the finale of the SoCal Challenge Tournament. With PCC displaced from its regular home diamond, the Lancers played the 4-1/2 hour contest at Citrus College.

Twenty Hits As Baseball's Offense Motoring

The Pasadena City College baseball team followed a 22-run outburst in a Jan. 23 win v. Citrus by pounding out 20 hits, including home runs by 2025 newcomers in Brandon Gill and Joaquin Salcedo, in a 13-4 victory over host Los Angeles Mission College on Thursday.
