PCC Baseball Contingent To Play At 4-Year Universities

The Pasadena City College baseball team carried nine sophomores on the 2024 team with six now committed to playing at the next level, head coach Pat McGee announced today.

Raider Tello, an All-American from the 2022 Pasadena City College baseball team, has agreed to terms on a minor league contract with the Philadelphia Phillies today. Tello was an ABCA/Rawlings All-Midwest Region Second Team selection in a brilliant 2024 season playing for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes.

Nate Garkow, a starting pitcher on the 2018 Pasadena City College baseball team, signed a professional minor league contract with the Toronto Blue Jays last week. He is the first Lancer in 18 years to be signed by a Major League Baseball organization..

Fullerton Ends Lancers Baseball Playoff Run

Fullerton College, the #9 seed, swept the #16 Pasadena City College baseball team in their best-of-3, Southern California Regional First Round playoff series on May 3-4. The Lancers season ends at 23-18 in advancing to the postseason for the sixth consecutive complete season.

The Pasadena City College baseball team tied a *school-record by having six players make the All-South Coast Conference First Team as the Lancers earned the #16 seed for the Southern California Regional Playoffs. PCC is making its sixth consecutive postseason under head coach Pat McGee.

Baseball Posts Most Runs By PCC Team In 23 Years

When Pasadena City College and Chaffey met up in football in November, the American Bowl championship won by the Panthers totaled just 28 points--16-12. So on Monday, the two schools made up for that lack of scoring, but on the baseball diamond. The Lancers scored the most runs by a Pat McGee-coached team in outlasting host Chaffey, 24-14.

Baseball Pulls Off Series Win Over State #1 Cerritos

The Pasadena City College baseball team sent some more shockwaves thoughout the Southland with its second straight win over state #1 and South Coast Conference-leading Cerritos, 4-3, on Saturday at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Field. PCC takes the series v. the Falcons, two games to one.

An old-fashioned pitching duel between Pasadena City College ace Jameson Ferraro and Cerritos southpaw Derek Valdez went the Pasadena City College baseball team's way in a 2-1 road upset over the state #1-ranked Falcons on Thursday.

Settling in as the team's regular designated hitter, freshman Evan Nahra is embracing the role as he batted 3-for-3 with a triple as the Pasadena City College baseball team won its 3-game series v. Compton, taking the road finale, 6-3, on Friday.

Baseball Still In Hunt For SoCal Playoff Spot

It was an old-fashioned slugfest at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Field on Thursday as the Pasadena City College baseball team earned a much-needed, 15-10 win over Compton. The Lancers evened their South Coast Conference record to 10-10 as they remain in position to possibly earn a Southern California Regional Playoff seed.

Joe Bacon came within an out of a complete game, limiting East Los Angeles to six hits as the Pasadena City College baseball team salvaged the final game of its 3-game set v. the Huskies, 8-4, on Saturday. The South Coast Conference contest was played at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Field.

Richman Reaches Base All 6 Times In Baseball's Loss To ELAC

Acknowledged and nicknamed by the coaching staff as simply "baseball player" because of his high in-game IQ and ability to make things happen for his team, Pasadena City College freshman utility player Bryan Richman continues to be one of the South Coast Conference's best players in 2024.

The mound tandem of Jameson Ferraro and Connor Campbell limited SoCal #7-ranked Golden West to seven hits while striking out 10 batters and received some timely defense as the #20 Pasadena City College baseball team downed the Rustlers, 3-1, at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinon Field on Wednesday.

El Camino College has been a thorn in the side of Pasadena City College baseball for many years, and this past week was no different as the Warriors won a pair of 1-run games at home to sandwich a Lancers rout in the middle game as PCC lost its South Coast Conference series.
