Little, Big Ball In Baseball's Win Over Cerritos

The Pasadena City College baseball team scored in a variety of ways Thursday as the Lancers held off Cerritos College, 7-4, in a South Coast Conference game at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Field. PCC evened its series with the Falcons, 1-1, its conference record at 4-4, and overall mark at 10-10

Sophomore relief pitcher Benny Torres and frosh rightfielder Tai Walton delivered with clutch contributions in helping the Pasadena City College baseball team take a 3-game series over SoCal #8-rated Mt. San Antonio, 2-games-to-1. The Lancers won the rubber match on Saturday, 8-4, at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Field.

Baseball Making Strides As South Coast Conference Schedule Opens Feb. 18

The Pasadena City College baseball team is 5-2 in its last seven games and in the process reached the .500 mark after a slow start to the 2020 season. The Lancers (6-6 record) are getting quality pitching, especially from its bullpen, to go with some impressive hitting. On Tuesday, Feb. 18, PCC embarks on its 24-game, South Coast Conference schedule at it starts a 3-game series v. Rio Hondo College.

Baseball Struggling At Home Field

During PCC's run to a co-South Coast Conference North Division baseball title in 2019, the Lancers experienced a surprising 4-game home losing streak. The team finished 25-15 overall and 13-6 in games at its off-campus diamond--Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Memorial Field.
