Half-Century Later, PCC Scores A Solo Conference Baseball Crown

In 1967, the Pasadena City College baseball team captured its third straight Western State Conference title on its way to a state championship under Coach Ron Robinson. On the 50th anniversary year of that Lancers team, PCC clinched its first solo conference crown since that season with a 14-12 win at Mt. San Antonio College Tuesday afternoon.

Baseball Extends SCC North 1st Place Lead To 1-1/2 Games

The SoCal No. 14-ranked Pasadena City College baseball team recovered from Tuesday's walk-off, last out loss by knotting its series with Rio Hondo, defeating the Roadrunners, 10-4, on Thursday. The Lancers continued their outstanding home play this year at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Memorial Field at 11-5 overall and extended their first place lead in the South Coast Conference North Division to 1-1/2 games over both Rio Hondo and Chaffey.

First-Place Baseball Uses HBP Parade To Rally v. Harbor

The Pasadena City College baseball team rallied from five runs down in the ninth, then scored on a walk-off, wild pitch to beat Los Angeles Harbor, 7-6, in 10 innings Tuesday afternoon. If the season ended today, the Lancers would have the tie-breaker for first place in the South Coast Conference North Division. PCC and Chaffey are tied for first in league play with 7-5 marks.

Baseball Takes 2 of 3 In Series v. State #15 Chaffey

The Pasadena City College baseball team completed its halted rain-shortened game from Tuesday with an 11-1 victory, then saw state No. 15-ranked Chaffey score the go-ahead run with two outs in the ninth in a 9-8 loss in the series finale Saturday at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Memorial Field. PCC ended the day in a 3-way tie for first place in the South Coast Conference North Division with Chaffey and East Los Angeles, all at 6-5 in league play.

PCC's Gardner Flirts With No-No In 6-1 Baseball Win

PCC freshman right-hander Race Gardner pitched within five outs of a no-hitter Thursday, but settled for a 1-hit gem over 7.1 innings as the Lancers baseball team stunned state No. 15-ranked Chaffey, 6-1, in Rancho Cucamonga.

Change Is In the Air For PCC Baseball Under Coach McGee

In his first two seasons, Pasadena City College baseball head coach Pat McGee saw his teams struggle against veteran-coached programs like Cerritos and Long Beach City Colleges. The Lancers were winless at 0-12 in their matchups v. the two colleges in McGee's first two seasons. That was then as the tide is turning for PCC in McGee's season No. 3.

Ranked No. 18 In SoCal, Baseball Edges Cerro Coso, 3-2

Ranked No. 18 in this week's California Community College Baseball Coaches Association SoCal Top 20, the Pasadena City College baseball team snapped a 2-game losing streak Wednesday with a 3-2 triumph over Cerro Coso at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Memorial Field.

Baseball Sweeps Twin Bill Over Imperial Valley, Remain Perfect At 6-0

Last year when PCC won its first three games, it marked the fastest start by a Lancers team in 52 years. But after the Lancers swept a doubleheader over Imperial Valley at Brookside Park on Saturday, Pasadena is reaching greater heights under third-year head coach Pat McGee. PCC leads the state in runs and is perfect thus far in 2017 at 6-0.
