Half-Century Later, PCC Scores A Solo Conference Baseball Crown

In 1967, the Pasadena City College baseball team captured its third straight Western State Conference title on its way to a state championship under Coach Ron Robinson. On the 50th anniversary year of that Lancers team, PCC clinched its first solo conference crown since that season with a 14-12 win at Mt. San Antonio College Tuesday afternoon.

State No. 20-Ranked Baseball A Win Away From Conference Crown

The newly ranked state No. 20 Pasadena City College baseball team moved one step closer to the South Coast Conference North Division title with a 4-2 win at East Los Angeles College Thursday night. PCC can clinch a share of its first conference baseball title since President Richard Nixon was in office (1972) if it can sweep ELAC on Saturday in the squads' series finale. Game time is 12 noon at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Memorial Field.

Rio Hondo Rallies Past 1st Place Baseball, 12-11

The Pasadena City College baseball team entered "The Jungle," the nickname for Rio Hondo College's baseball field, Tuesday afternoon. It was a rude welcome for the Lancers, who blew leads of 6-2, 8-6, and 11-7, as the Roadrunners walked off with a 12-11 win. Rio Hondo won it on a dramatic 3-run homer with two outs in the ninth by pinch hitter Steve Genera.

Jimenez Sparks Baseball In Win Over Mt. San Jacinto

Second baseman Jose Jimenez batted 3-for-5 and knocked in three RBI as the Pasadena City College baseball team stayed perfect in 2017 with a 7-4 victory over Mt. San Jacinto on Tuesday. The game was played at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Memorial Field.

Local Products Help Baseball Take 2 From West LA

The Pasadena City College baseball team opened up the 2017 season in grand style in routing West Los Angeles twice in a home-and-home series on Friday-Saturday. The Lancers rolled to a 15-5 victory in the season opener at West LA (in Culver City) and followed that with a 10-3 triumph Saturday at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Memorial Field.
